Tortilla Sandwich
What is it? A mixture of the Mexican and American heritage which once fused together creates the culture I grew up with. A culture where I watched every India Maria movie, my hero was El Chapulin Colorado, I had atole for breakfast, yet at the same time I never missed an episode of Saturday Night Live, my favorite meal was mom's meatloaf and I dreamed of being in the Ramones.

No tengo dinero

Due to all of my out-of-control spending, (I have a thing for clothes and gadgets) not to mention tuition being due this week, and the purchase of my books for the semester........ I'm broke.

I'll have to be good for the next 2 weeks, thank goodness I get paid weekly. I also need to look into some scholarships to help me pay the rest of my education. I know, I know, I keep saying that I need to do that, and have no one to blame but my lazy self. Yes, the books and tuition is coming out of my pocket, that's the price of independence. Hmm, maybe I can hit up Wal-Mart for one of those scholarships.

Well, anyway, if you want to see what I've spent my latest coin on check it out:

I noticed on a recent road trip that my iPod was all scratched up, well after a quick buff and polish, I decided I needed to protect it from all the notepads, pens, and stray projectiles that bounce around in my backpack. I went online and bought 2 iPod protective cases by Xskin. One is the color called "Snow", and the other is this delicious color called "Bubble Gum", shown below. I can't wait to get them!

Once I have my iPod all protected I'll be ready to take all of the Tejano and Norteno greats with me wherever I go.

I'm just kidding!

I'll need an entire post just to talk about the music I listen to...next time!

Igualmente me falta la lana. I need to get a protective case for my iPod too.

Hope to see a post about the music you like. I just saw a museum exhibit about Tejano rock and now I'm really interested.
